This lp is on DECCA SXL 2029 stereophonic . The vinyl is in my opinion in excellent clean condition . If this was any other genre of music it would certainly be graded at excellent , however as there are so many quiet passages in classical music some of the background crackle is more noticeable .
There is one very very light scratch that is not an issue as you can't feel it and it does not sound , and there are some very light little marks /shadows on the vinyl . All these are very minor and don't affect play .
I've played it through once ( with a good needle ) , there is audible background crackle and some light pops and clicks . In my opinion this is no in any way excessive and does not detract from the music . Once again if this were a rock or jazz lp etc it wouldn't be an issue . I think the vinyl looks and plays great , and I would be very happy with this copy .
There are some VERY light spindle marks
The cover is also in excellent condition with no writing or significant damage , just one very small tear on the front opening about 1 cm and . Just some light ageing on the back , just about as clean as you could hope to find .
These can go for a ton of money , check out www.popsike.com to see recent selling prices .
