Wilhelm Backhaus plays the Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor, op. 37 for Piano and Orchestra and the Piano Sonata No. 2 ("Moonlight") in C sharp minor op.27. Hans Schmidt-Isserstedt conducting the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Stunning sound!!!
Decca UK WB GR with "MADE IN ENGLAND" at 10 o'clock. Cat. SXL 2190 ZAL 4701/02 - with the audiophile 3W/5W stampers. Cover EX+ (minor shelf and ringwear). Record NM (one harmless ultra thin mark) .
