DECCA SXL 2229 MENDELSSOHN 'MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM' incidental music & SCHUBERT 'ROSAMUNDE' incidental music, played by L'OORCHESTRE DE LA SUISSE ROMANDE conducted by ERNEST ANSERMET.
Pressing first published 1960 ORIGINAL DECCA WIDE BAND & GROOVE with ORIGINAL RECORDING BY at 10 o'clock
SLEEVE CONDITION: Thin card sleeve with quite carefully repaired tear to front. Yellowing has taken place to white areas of front and reverse surfaces. However the sleeve is solid and perhaps rather better than it sounds! Original inner has been replaced at somtime with plain white one.
RECORD CONDITION: Viewing under a strong light reveals quite a number of paper scuffs. To make sure these do not interferre with play, I have sound auditioned this record and find that it plays perfectly with quiet surfaces and no noticable clicks or pops. NO PROBLEMS HERE.
