I have acquired a large classical collection of wonderful recordings from a very keen and dedicated collector.
They are all mostly from the late 50s to mid 60s - Something of a Golden Age in Classical recording
All records are inspected very carefully and Gradings are based on Record Collector magazine.
I try to only offer recordings in a minimum of excellent Condition unless it is something particularly rare
when I will do my best to describe any visual or audible flaws
Side OneTchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D Major Op35
First Movement Allegro Moderato
Second Movement Canzonetta andante
Third Movement Finale Allegro Vivacissimo
Side Two
First Movement- Allegro ma non troppo-quasi-moderato
Second Movement- Adagio ma non troppo
Third Movement Allegro Giocoso, ma non troppo
on the DECCA Black and Silver WIDE BAND First Issue

This is Generally very close to Excellent - But because of the rarity I am taking care to grade very strictly so ....
3 Minutes or so into band 1 there is a loud click or possible very brief SKIP ( depending on the sensitivity of your equipment)
DISC CONDITION - VERY GOOD
Side 1 Visually EXCELLENT
and audibly VERY GOOD just very soft "tics" but more
particularly
1 brief hiss near the start of the band
1 loud click/ Possible SKIP for 1 revolution 3 minutes into the band
1 click for 7 revs with 1 louder midway 5 mins into the band
1 pop +further 3 pops each for 1 revolution
1 brief but noticable hiss and
1 further pop for 1 revolution
all within first 7 minutes or so of band 1
On band two
2 light pops for 1 rev midway
1 further stronger pop for 1 rev
1 further pop 1 rev
Side 2 Visually EXCELLENT -
and audibly EXCELLENT with just occasional very soft” tics “
1 light pop for 1 rev mid way band 1
Sleeve EXCELLENT - laminated - front Some light wear on back sleeve
Comes complete with DECCA company inner sleeve

This is a rare and sought after recording - wonderful playing from Ruggiero Ricci taking on the Tchaikovsky violin Concerto
one of the most famous and most technically demanding of Violin works
and on side two The A minor Dvorak offers something of a contrast with its lovely slower movements and rhapsodical interludes
This is a stunning performance on a glorious Decca pressing
Just let down a little by the Sound Quality for the first few minutes on side One
You will be pleased to learn there is no reserve
