Description
This is one of Decca's finest recording of the great early stereo era. Catalog # SXL-2077 is a Stunning recording of Sibelius's "Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47", and Tchaikovsky's "Serenade Melancolique Op. 26', and Scherzo from "souvenir d'un lieu cher, Op. 42 No. 2". If you have never heard this version by Ruggiero Ricci-violin with the London Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Oivin Fjeldstad, you have never heard the best. I feel this is the absolute best version of this great Sibelius concerto ever recorded in the stereo era. The label is the earliest ED-1 deep groove Wide Band FFSS from the UK. The vinyl is MINT on both sides. The cover is the earliest UK cover with the two color printing on the back also. The cover is Mint-, with only a little edge wear, and a price sticker on the back. This is a lovely recording for the ages.
