Description

This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1964 CONSTELLATION RECORDS 45 RPM RECORD containing the 'Northern Soul' sides titled 'That's My Girl'/'Come Closer' from veteran soulster Dee Clark.  It is Constellation Records catalog number C-120 - This catalog number with this B-side appears to be a RARE ITEM which has not been offered on eBay either at auction or at fixed price sale during the past month as far as I can tell.   'That's My Girl' is of course the bouncy Northern favorite; 'Come Closer' is no slouch either - It is also a smooth midtempo early Motown style Northern tune that will immediately remind you of an early Mary Wells record like 'You Beat Me To The Punch'.  Visual condition of this 45 is a mid VG+ with all original gloss and some light surface marks which cannot be felt, and will not affect play.  Both labels have a small bullet hole indicating a promo or a cutout copy and a tiny bit of contact wear as can be seen in my accompanying image; I believe the blue discoloration in the Constellation Records logo is a printing or manufacturing flaw and not the result marking up by a previous owner.  Labels have no other real flaws.  This 45 would be a choice addition to any 'Northern' soul record collection!
