What Kind Of Lady
Dee Dee Sharpe was the new hit act around Cameo Records in 1962, and she hit time and again with tunes like "Mashed Potato Time," "Gravy," "Ride," and "Do The Bird." The later into 1964 and 1965 it got the lower her records were on the charts. The times were changing and Dee Dee was trying to shift from being another twistin' oldie act to more of a soul artist.
This record, from 1968, finds here well into northern soul territory with the rare recording “What Kind Of Lady.” Lawd! Is that the same gal! You bet! On the flip of this Gamble 45 is “You’re Gonna Miss Me (When I’m Gone).”
