Description
DEEP PURPLE
Title : Deep Purple Label : Harvest Catalogue No : SHVL 759
Matrix : SHVL 759 A-1/B-1 Mothers Stampers : 1-G / 1-G Issue : UK 1st Press NO EMI
This is the rare UK 1st Press of 'Deep Purple' by Deep Purple. This was one of the very first records off the press, it has the earliest matrix and the very first 1G/1G mothers and stampers. There is no EMI box on the label and the record is complete with the original inner sleeve and earliest laminated gatefold sleeve. We are also very pleased to say that the vinyl is absolutely sensational!
The record is in Excellent condition. The vinyl is absolutely sensational, every track gleams like new. There is one small mark and just a couple of the very slightest hairlines, otherwise it is in the most wonderful condition. The labels are also sensational. The green is completely unworn, the colour is crisp and bright and there is no spindle wear. We very carefully played this album and we are pleased to say it sounds as good as it looks. Sensational. Exceptional audio seperation. On our turntable it is clear, rich and vibrant. The record is complete with the original inner sleeve.
The gatefold laminated sleeve is in Very Good condition. The front cover opening edge is sealed, consistent only with the 1st press. The laminate has a superb polished gloss and it is completely clean. The white is bright, the punk is vivid and the greys are bold. On the inside the photo is still extremely sharp and unworn and the text is clear. There is some wear at the top of the spine but it is still firm and the whole cover is still solid.
We have been selling vinyl for many years and use strict conditions to grade, list and package. If you are not completely satisfied with any element of our grading or description we will be happy to offer a full refund for the item.
