Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX+   INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the  ORIGINAL 'GRAMOPHONE RIM' PRESSING

- Stored from new this LP remains in pristine PLAY condition.

ARCHIVED FOR DECADES..WE HAVE NOT SEEN  A BETTER COPY THAN THIS.

This HEAVYWEIGHT pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age.  SUPER SMOOTH ROUNDED EDGES..

Note this is not a later flimsy mid 70s press.

There are a few light whisp lines, and a couple of little hairlines that do not sound -and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, some dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid out the vinyl. and a professional hoover clean could remedy this back to an even huigher grade..and it sounds special already..so we are looking at a stunning copy here.

Just a few tiny spider lines around the centre hole- no wear.

IT REMAINS IN SUPERB PLAY CONDITION. On playing through we heard nothing in the dead grooves bar the tiniest of static ...the odd dust pop along the way that probably will not sound next time.. no jumps or sticks..and it was a stunning listen.

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE LABELS   MINT  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     MINT-

UK issued earliest MATT 'FULLY TEXTURED' GATEFOLD sleeve  -with the INSERT SHEET AND HARVEST INNER BAG..

note: Later 70s sleeves were not textured on the inside gatefold

Printed by  -   GARROD & LOFTHOUSE

This is in superb condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean.. Most copies we see have bad white rubbing on the edges..Bad ring wear and general scruffy finish- this was not an easy sleeve to protect back then.so finding a CLEAN one this good is super rare.  And- most of all the black ink being a terror to keep unscuffed on this release ..but here we have a stunner!

The edges are all super clean with just some fine traces of rub on the egdes and tips , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

THE BLACK INKS ARE MAGNIFICENT..

Just the feintest (and we do mean feint) rub on the back top sleeve & a tiny arc on the bottom- & the lightest ring press on the back, there is no white rub as we normally see..nothing to worry over here really!

So we have to say this is a real rare one to see this clean..The tiniest of tip rub , &  just a couple of tiny spider lines over the edge of the spine and seam edge.

The spine edge is totally unmarked with no wear, or damage. There are a couple of light tiny rub spots only over the spine.

the open edge has the tiniest of feathering.. again nothing to worry over at all!  (no copy is truly razor sharp due to the texture finish of this sleeve)

AND....the open out of the gatefold is astonishing. No wear at all..the texturing is just amazing.

We cannot add any more than this! ITS A BEAUTY!

OVERALL..A REAL BEAUTY!

INNER  EX STRONG

POLY LINED- PAT PRINTED ORIGINAL harvest iner..some light discolour but no splits

LYRIC SHEET  MINT-

stunning, and no CREASING at all..
