Description
Ongoing sale of selected items from my personal collection of vinyl and CDs, the vast majority of which have been owned by me from new and have been safely stored in a smoke-free home. I try to describe each item as accurately as possible (vinyl will normally be play-tested) and therefore don't routinely accept returns - but I'm happy to offer a no quibble refund in the unlikely event that significant defects are found which were not called out in the listing.

This item....
- Other than copies with A1/B1 matrices (which I think are pretty much impossible to find) I reckon this is the earliest copy of this great album that you're likely to find....
- Garrod & Lofthouse manufactured gatefold sleeve with laminated outside
- No EMI logo on labels
- 'The Gramophone Co Ltd' text on label rims
- Polylined EMI/Harvest advertising inner sleeve with patent numbers 1,125,555 & 1,072,844
- Label / catalogue number - Harvest SHVL 777
- Matrices - A2/B1
- 1st pressing of 'Machine Head' also listed
- I haven't owned this one from new but it's clearly been well looked after by any previous owner(s) as the overall condition is excellent
- Play-tested end-to-end and sounds excellent throughout - I didn't detect any loud pops/clicks, just a tiny bit of light ambient crackle in a couple of quiet places when played quite loud
- Visually there are a few short hairlines but as above no audible scratches
- Both labels are lovely and clean with no writing or other marks
- The laminate is slightly receded at the edges as is typically the case with sleeves of this vintage
- The inside of the gatefold has some superficial light marks which show up when tilted to the light as hopefully captured in the pics
- The advertising inner has some age spots and discolouration and a bit of light creasing but no major flaws
- Unlike typical copies of this release, the spine is lovely and sharp, with title and cat number clearly visible
- Records will be dispatched in a high quality custom mailer
- Unless the item is new and still sealed I'll remove the record from both the outer sleeve and any printed inner in order to prevent seam splits in transit
