3ChordRecords is offering for sale an Excellent original 1st Press 1970 UK LP by DEEP PURPLE "In Rock" on Harvest/EMI Records.
Cat No. SHVL 777
The record is pressed on extra thick black vinyl and is in Excellent condition. There are a number of light marks but no deeper scratches affecting play, the record retains much of its original sheen. The labels are generally excellent with only light spidering, however label 1 has a shop price tag sized area where the green of the label has been lifted (visible on the photo). The matrix numbers are A-2/B-1 showing that this is a First Press LP, confirmed by the fact there are no boxed EMI graphics on the Harvest labels. The record comes in the original paper/pvc patented inner sleeve.
The original laminated Gatefold picture sleeve is in excellent condition, retaining all of its original sheen, there is only very light laminate lift in places where there are small creases. The edges are clean and crisp and there is only the very slightest of wear right on the very edge of the bottom corners. The spine is fully readable with only very light laminate lift where the the gatefold has been opened. The inside of the gatefold is clean with no tears. Overall there are no tears or seam splits, this really is a stunning original sleeve with hardly any wear from 41 years of life.
Overall a Fantastic original copy of this increasingly hard to find Rock LP. Bid with confidence.
