PLAYGRADED: not simply glanced at with a superficial visual grading, fully played and graded throughout (listened to on headphones - the most revealing playgrade method, with no exterior audio distractions)
VINYL: (stamped matrices:)
T P S 3 5 1 1 A - 1 U PORKY
T P S 3 5 1 1 B - 1 U DELTA PORK
T P S 3 5 1 2 A - 1 U PECKO
T P S 3 5 1 2 B - 1 U PECKIE
Nice looking vinyl with some light superficial scratces and a few superficial scuffs on record 1 side 1 that have hardly any effect on playback until the second quiet section of Child In Time, which then causes a few light repetitive 'fuffs' for a few seconds. Initial intro has some light crackle but drowned out by the superb tone of 'Highway Star' which plays superbly. The loud sections of 'Child In Time' are also excellent.
Side 2 again starts with light crackle but quickly obliterated by the opening riffs to 'Smoke On The Water'. Track 2 is also excellent throughout.
Side 3 starts with a lot more crackle than on record 1 and although covered by the loud audio of 'Strange Kind Of Woman' and 'Lazy' it is audible in the quieter sections. I have cleaned this twice but it may improve with a thorough, deep, professional clean....? The crackle does seem to settle down a little by the mid/end of side 3 but it does not play as well overall as record 1 which is a bit of a shame. Side 4 'Space Truckin' is similar to side 3 and again the louder music sounds great, but in any quiet section the background crackle is quite prominent.
This record is only offered for sale due to the excellent quality of the sleeve and because it is a genuine UK first pressing (not the much more common EMI label versions). The sound quality is below my normal exacting standards. So please, if you are expecting a MINT or even EX audio copy then this is NOT for you, it is a suitable collection filler for now.
LABELS:
Nice and clean with thankfully NO graffiti. BARELY ANY VISIBLE spindle traces
OUTER SLEEVE:
Superb condition, barely any wear and without doubt one of the better ones I've seen. Lovely clean front, just one small blemish mark near the bottom corner, still lovely and shiny. Back has a small section of laminate creases - looks like a production fault rather than later damage. Inner gatefold is lovely and bright and clean. Free form graffiti.
SPINE
Nice and square, perfectly legible, only light wear, more pronounced at corners.
INNER SLEEVES:
plain
POSTAGE AND PACKING:
I recycle as much existing material as possible and reuse record mailers if they are of good enough quality. Edges and corners are reinforced with packing tape. Stiffeners are used to strengthen and support the record.
Vinyl is removed from the outer gatefold to prevent any 'knifing' to the outer sleeve.
I ship in the UK using Royal Mail 2nd Class as it's a little cheaper for buyers. A certificate of postage is obtained for every item. Signed for delivery is available on request at extra cost. Please ask.
Feedback is left for buyers once they have contacted me and left feedback stating they are happy with their purchase. Should there be any issues, please contact me first.
I ship worldwide. Item will be shipped in board-stiffened mailers for maximum protection.
