Description

On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Deep Purple called 'Shades Of Deep Purple' and is an ORIGINAL UK 1968 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Yellow & Black Parlophone label!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  THIS WAS DEEP PURPLES 1ST LP EVER - AND IS EASILY THEIR RAREST BY FAR!!!!  IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS ON RELEASE BACK IN 1968 - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!!  JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!!  NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS YELLOW & BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL, 1ST PRESS 'SOLD IN THE UK' TEXT, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is SERIOUSLY RARE!!!!  The Cat. No is PCS 7055 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Yellow & Black Parlophone label (see picture) and is a MUCH rarer 1968 Stereo 1st pressing!!!!  And PLEASE NOTE - whilst later stereos on later labels are relatively common - 1st Press Stereos on 1st Press Yellow & Black labels are BY FAR the rarer (most were Mono)!!!!  All the tracks are Pure quality Deep Purple at their best!!!! Any fan of Deep Purple, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in GREAT condition (see pictures) with with only some VERY slight fading, NO writing, and only a few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is still VERY presentable indeed and VERY shiny looking!!!!  In fact - under normal room conditions it looks absolutely SUPERB!!!!   However under light you can see a few light hairlines, only 2 or 3 light scufflines, and some VERY light paper scuffing only visible under light!!!!  And despite these few visual imperfections - this record is still VERY shiny looking indeed with a SUPERB glossy look!!!!  THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  It is great to find that the playing of the record is as STUNNING as the visual!!!!  The record plays with only a few light clicks/pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss, and only some low level background crackle in a VERY few places!!!!  The actual sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO distortion and NO groovewear either!!!!  The record must grade Good+ (PROPERLY graded, NOT 'wrecked') if not better - though under normal room conditions the record looks far FAR better than this!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!!  The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press sleeve which is in SUPERB condition!!!!  The 1st Press Flipback Laminated Cover is in BRILLIANT condition!!!!  It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only VERY slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), VERY shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!!  Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with NO writing, barely ANY grubbyness AT ALL (virtually NONE!), NO yellowing, and NO rubbing AT ALL!!!!  The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND SIMPLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS ULTRA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this RARE LP!!!!  THIS WILL BE YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO BUY AN ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1ST PRESSING OF "SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE" BY DEEP PURPLE!!!!   Dont forget to take a look at all my other items including many other TOP LPs and contact me with any queries you may have.
