DEEP PURPLE MACHINE HEAD VERY 1st PRESSING From my own personal collection it is my pleasure to offer an exceptional MINT- example of the brilliant studio album by DEEP PURPLE titled “MACHINE HEAD”, Catalogue Number TSPA 7504. This is an ORIGINAL 1972 UK STEREO 1st PRESSING on the PURPLE RECORD LABEL, with a near perfect 1st ISSUE GARROD & LOFTHOUSE LTD. LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE. Complete with the correct 1st issue fold-out lyric insert and the original white poly-lined inner sleeve. [The record labels have “THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD…” text around the tops. The matrix numbers are the earliest A-1U/B-1U. The lyric insert is the correct 1st issue, which is folded into 3 – not 4 like re-issue inserts].   The sleeve is in EX+/MINT- condition with virtually no wear or creasing of any significance. It’s a beautiful example but being hyper critical it has minimal wear to the sleeve just a tiny bit of delamination to the opening edge - and a few tiny white marks inside where the 2 sides of the edge of the laminate has stuck together and the cover has then been opened. there are 2 of the previous owners catalogue stickers to the laminated surface so they should peel off easily - I have bought new LPs with covers in worse condition than this                         The vinyl is in MINT- condition. The Purple labels are like new with only a few faint spindle traces each side. I can confirm that the record has only received a few careful plays on top end hifi. The sound quality of the 1st pressings of Machine Head is outstanding – very powerful, dynamic and vibrant. Both sides play MINT- throughout with no discernable deterioration in sound quality and virtually no unwanted noise at all. There are no loud pops, repeat clicks, distortion, hiss or anything else – just beautiful clean audio. If you are looking for that elusive perfect-playing 1st press copy – look no further!     The fold-out lyric insert has a few light tea stains VG+ condition.   The inner sleeve is also in unmarked EX+ condition.   Overall this is a magnificent final upgrade copy which will grace any record collection.
