Description

Absolutely gorgeous original 1959 pressing of the 2-LP complete recording of Delibes' Coppélia ballet music, conducted by Antal Dorati, on Mercury Living Presence stereo SR2-9005. FR5/3/2/2 stampers. This is one of the truly great audiophile recordings of all time and this copy sounds absolutely incredible. All four sides play nearly mint and flawlessly. There is a superficial mark on side four that makes no sound at all. I couldn't help but listen to the whole thing, as it sounded so great, and I heard barely the slightest test tick anywhere. Plays just magnificently. Very hard to beat this copy. The cover, as well, is very nearly perfect, with only a slight sticker stain at the top left, and two small spots where the lamination is lifting just a little. Really this is by far the best copy of this wonderful record I have ever seen.
