1971/Canada/ABC/Dunhill Records ABCS-718……here’s a clean original pressing of this heavy psych rock lp. The thick gatefold cover is in solid clean VG++ condition, there is a bit of light shelf wear at the bottom of the cover, light corner/edge wear, otherwise this cover is clean and solid with no splits or delete. The vinyl is in glossy clean VG++ condition with a handful of very soft small sleeve scuffs. The record plays clean with a bit of light crackle at cue on side one, otherwise the record plays excellent with clean punchy fidelity! A solid clean original pressing! Signing Nick St. Nicholas of Steppenwolf as a manager, Bubble Puppy moved to Los Angeles in 1970. Their name was changed to Demian (after Hermann Hesse's 1919 novel at the suggestion of their manager's wife). This was to avoid contractual difficulties with their previous record company but also because the former name appeared to link them with bubblegum music.

The group signed to ABC-Dunhill Records and released one self-titled album in 1971, but its failure to perform on the charts led to financial difficulties with the label and the group's breakup in 1972.

The use of dual lead guitars was pioneered by Bubble Puppy's Prince and Potter, as exhibited in live performances as early as 1967. Two years later, English counterparts, Wishbone Ash and the USA's Allman Brothers Band, would begin using the same technique with great success.

MINT: as stated with no defects

NEAR MINT: as stated near Mint!, or Mint Minus, same thing, very clean with no defect to sound or visual appearance, one scuff or mark may be permitted but it will be mentioned in the description, a near Mint record looks and plays very clean

EXCELLENT: not much below near Mint, may have a delete hole and/or a minor defect or two not visually detracting from the cover, the vinyl will appear shiny and in clean condition with very minor defects not affecting the sound, still very clean and very collectable!

VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal cover wear and/or delete/splits, still visually appealing, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have some minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much

VG+ a little more cover/ring wear and delete, splits etc., the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects, both cover and vinyl no matter the condition.
