Killer northern soul boogaloo with screaming lead vocals, infectious rhythms / bumpy latin congas and frantic, James Brown style brass stabs. Great For DJs! Should appeal to lovers of Davy Jones Voodoo Funk Machine - Janko Nilovic Magic of Ju Ju productions. The humming backing chorus also remind us of the Hal Singer Malcolm X theme. The bside has been comped and is a big beat soul ballad with powerful gospel touch. This is the same Detroit singer behind that Crackerjack label release. Top double-sider penned by the legendary Teddy Randazzo
Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG
RECORD - shiny, strong VG++ (actually better) with the usual styrene induced background surface noise (mostly to the Bside) / loud pressing, big production sound / some faint hairlines and light scuffs from storage
SLEEVE - not graded - original generic factory sleeve has general wear / item from the archive of an important record label who had offices in Milan, hence the archive numbers in pen front and back
LABEL - 'x' notation in pen to Bside / some natural age discoloration / some light dirt marks from storage
After a 2 year gap, Pourquoi Moi Vintage is back :)
For the moment, our auctions will focus on original 7inch delights from '50s doo wop to '80s synth pop so expect to see:
