Description
A nice copy of the Our Man in Paris album by Dexter Gordon on Blue Note (BST-84146) that also features Bud Powell, Pierre Michelot and Kenny Clarke. The address on the back reads "Blue Note Records Inc., 43 West 61st St., New York 23."
The label reads: "33 1/3 STEREO LONG PLAYING - Blue Note Records Inc New York USA." "VAN GELDER" and "STEREO" are machine-etched in the trail off. The hand-etched matrix reads: "BST-84146," which is followed by an "ear" mark on both sides of the vinyl. This feels like a heavier piece of vinyl.
Condition:
The cover has some ring wear (mainly toward the bottom of the front), as well as some rubbing/scuffing on the front. There is a small "B214A" written in black marker in the top right corner (under the name). There is a square blemish in the top right corner (looks like a price tag was removed; no longer sticky). All four corners are dinged a bit and the bottom edge shows some wear. The word "BUSH" is written in the top left corner of the back cover. There are three small pencil letters above and below a couple of the track titles (looks like the key of each tune).
The vinyl is VG+ (7 out of 10, looks used but not abused with are a number of scuff marks and a couple surface scratches/squiggles that produce some pops but no skips on my deck; of these, there is a small but notable mark at the very end of track 1 that gives an inconsistent tic, at the beginning of side 2 there is a small line that also gives a tic on some revolutions, and toward the end of the last track there is a visible line/scuff mark that produces some audible crackle but is not constant; overall this vinyl plays through with very little hiss/crackle and no skips). This LP comes from a non-smoking home. The record you see in the picture is the record you will receive.
Shipping Details:
Shipping will be $4.00 for media mail in the U.S. I ship internationally -- but prefer that international bidders contact me first. I usually ship within 24 hours of receiving payment. I will combine shipping if you win multiple items. Also, I tend to recycle boxes, but I always make sure to pack items, particularly records, securely.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I try to give prompt, thorough answers and I am willing to provide additional pictures (you'll probably have to provide an email address).
Also, please contact me first before bidding if you have zero feedback. I will only ship to a confirmed address.
Check out my other items that are up for grabs. This week it's a batch of LPs on Blue Note label.
