Description
An exceptionally rare opportunity to own an authentic piece of memorabilia - a fantastic collector's item for all fans of Dexys and Kevin Rowland. This official BPI silver disc, for the 1980 number one single "Geno", was presented to Rob Warr, who at the time was working in the press office at EMI and had been involved in publicising the record. He also managed Gang Of Four and later went on to become Head of Talent Management at the BBC. The disc has been donated by its most recent owner, as part of the fundraising effort for Little Havens Childrens Hospice in Essex. ALL proceeds from the sale of this disc will go to the hospice. The disc does show some signs of wear/use but then it IS 27 years old! To verify the authenticity of of my involvement with the hospice, and to find out more about why this disc was donated, please visit www.justgiving.com/tracieyoung I wish I could buy this myself - I absolutely adored Dexys (still do!) and I would love to have this hanging on my wall, but instead it's offered here for a better reason. Please be generous, just like the person who donated this from his personal collection of memorabilia. IMPORTANT INFO This is a valuable item so I will be sending it by parcel delivery/courier. Therefore, the costs listed for P&P are approximate - please note they are subject to change after the close of the auction, although I will endeavour to keep costs to a minimum. Naturally, if you are paying by cheque, I can't deliver the disc until funds are cleared.
