Rare 1st edition 1961 Red Logo DGG Archiv stereo Cello played by Fournier

soloist Pierre Fournier

SOUND SAMPLE AUTO STARTED WHEN YOU OPENED THE PAGE, TURN UP THE VOLUME...

and have a READ .

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE, SIDE A FOR FIRST 2 MINUTES 29 SECONDS, THEN A 23 SECOND SILENCE AS I TURN THE lp OVER, THEN SIDE 2 OPENING MOVEMENT IS COMPLETE UNTIL IT FINISHES AT 7 MINUTES 44, I LET THE WHOLE OF THAT 2ND SIDE TRACK PLAY AS IT IS BRILLIANT CELLO TECHNIQUE, (YES I AM A CELLO PLAYER).

The whole LP plays as well as this, I always try to give buyers a listen to the opening few minutes of most records, as that is where most damage usually occurs, nothing visible OR Audible on this LP.

German Pressing from DGG, only one (198 188) I've ever seen in Australia in the thousands of records I have inspected.

This is Bach Suites No. 5 & 6 only 1 record although there are 3 in the series.  (View My Other Items For Sale vol 1 also listed with this one, but its based on the UK ebay, so its in GBP)

This is the Third issue (one of 3 LP's ) in the plain cream (manilla)colored cover with 3 fold, light card, gatefold cover with cotton stitch
seams. RED logo on front denotes first edition. dead wax has 1961 on runout.
LP Condition (see photo's) NEAR MINT I am listening to it to test play as I write this listing. Not even any paper scuffs even in sunlight, and beautiful, like new gloss on the vinyl.

Labels, EXC+++ shiny metallic and only one or two spindle marks

LP COVER

(see photo's) rated 'VERY GOOD', The two gold 'award' stickers on front cover from Edison and Deutscher Schallplatten Preis (German Record Prize?)  are showing signs of lifting on edges

Front cover  also has old stain from price sticker (now removed) just to right and above red logo Although the disc is Near Mint, the cover being unlaminated has some rub marks, and some light corner creases. Rear of cover shows light ring wear. All stitched seams are intact

INSERT with track times and recording dates (dec 1960) included see photo's

Won't spend too much time waffling  so any specific questions please email me.

International Buyers – Please Note:

• Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility.

• Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

In other words I will not discount any stated sale price on Customs declarations as that is illegal.

Combined postage with other items closing this week welcome. Please ask.

I CAN ONLY INSURE BASED ON THE CUSTOMS DECLARATION STATED VALUE, PLEASE BE AWARE SHOULD YOU BE LIABLE FOR ANY CUSTOMS ON A SECOND HAND LP IN YOUR COUNTRY, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT PAYMENT (UK, Sth Korea, Germany and possibly Malaysia at least, probably more, has this problem I believe, )

In other words, buyers asking me to understate the customs declaration on this item need not bid, as I flatly refuse under international law to do so.  (Last Buyer who did that gave neg feedback (it was retracted obviously) as they thought it was my fault they had taxes to pay(?????)

RULES FOR BIDDING

DOES ANYBODY READ THIS?? I THINK NOT BASED ON RECENT BIDDING ACTIVITY ON MY ITEMS!! PLEASE READ...

If you have hidden feedback, or

less than 98% positive, or

less than 50 recent visible positives, (that's NEW EBAY registrations with little activity yet, that have proven your good buying habits)  THEN -

I would appreciate email contact first to establish your credentials.  Credentials mean that I need to know you will be paying with VERIFIED PAYPAL account, and I of course will only be mailing to that verified address. DON'T EXPECT TO GET MY PERMISSION IN THE LAST 2 HOURS OF BIDDING, DO IT BEFOREHAND. (Buyers who have had trouble free transactions with me already qualify of course, regardless of the feedback status)

Winning bids unpaid after 7 days will be reported as non paying bidder and item opened to second chance offer.

HAPPY BIDDING, QUESTIONS WELCOME

This listing in Australian dollars because I don't live in US or UK, and if you don't, WHAT A WASTE OF DOUBLE CONVERSIONS THAT WOULD BE!!! Also as the exchange rate is more like R.S. not U.S against our vibrant economy in sunny Australia

The keen starting price offers a great opportunity to own this great recording at a reasonable starting price.
