“Glory Of Cremona”,performed by R.Ricci/violin and Leon Pommers/piano.Ricci plays on 15 different instruments built between ca.1560 and 1744 in Cremona: 6 Stradivaris,5 violins made by Guarneri del Gesù plus 4 instruments made by Andrea Amati,Nicolo Amati,Carlo Begonzi and Gasparo da Salò.Composers are:

Original german DGG stereo pressing on the deep grooved yellow tulip label,”Alle Hersteller...”.SLPEM 136464,”red stereo”logo.P 1964 and F 4 stampers in the matrix of both sides indicate June 1964 as date of the pressing.Gatefold-cover,linernotes inside,pictures and names of all 15 instruments on the back,original deluxe innersleeve.

Condition:There are many quiet and silent moments in a duo line-up with just piano and violin,I have listened very carefully to the whole record to give you a detailed grading.The A-side looks mint--/ex+++(just a very few non-feelable surface-lines,only to be seen under a strong light),it plays in mint- to ex+++ with just occasional 1 to 2 soft tics behind the music once in a while,there’s a 2 mm surface mark on A 5 causing soft tics behind the music for a few seconds.The B-side looks ex+ (a few non-feelable surface-lines and -marks,only to be seen under a strong light),it plays in ex to vg+ with occasional soft tics behind the music,sometimes only 1 or 2 tics,in a few parts lasting a little longer(e.g.on B 8,there’s a 2 mm surface mark causing soft tics behind the music for a few seconds),a few singular tics are a little more prominent.The gatefold-cover has a thin frontpart wich shows some ring-,age- and cornerwear(bended lower right corner);the back has some ringwear and discolourations in the white parts,the seams are intact except for a ca. 1 cm(= ca.0,4 inch)very thin split on top;the inner of the gatefold is nice with moderate agespotting/darkening;overall grading for the cover is vg,pl.take a look at all pictures below!

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
