Description

Beethoven: Mozart

Annie Fischer - Piano
Ferenc Fricsay/ Bayerisches Straatsorchestra

(Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft SLPM 138 087 LP 1960)

This is an original Stereo LP pressing. Manufactured in Germany. It has a matt sleeve which has a red "Stereo" on the front. There is also a red Stereo sticker on the front also. There is a printers date at the bottom of the rear sleeve (8/ 60). This means that the sleeve was printed in August 1960. It comes with its original company polythene-lined company inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press matrix numbers.

Sleeve: There is some mild or moderate rubbing wear to the bottom edge, spine & corner tips. There is some light to mild ringwear. There is some light or mild rubbing wear to the sleeve opening & top edge. VG- condition

Vinyl: There are some light or very mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is one light surface mark on one side. VG+ condition. The labels are in excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in VG++ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There is some more moderate crackle at the start of Side 1 and Side 2. This eases out fairly quickly. There are about 8-10 light or mild clicks on Side 1 on one passage. There are a few mild clicks in three separate places on Side 2. This record would definitely benefit from a professional clean. I believe that it would play excellently afterwards. Most of the aforementioned is due to deep down dirt in the grooves.
