Description
The legendary DGG SLPM 138659, of Tchaikovsky's Symphony No 6, the "Pathetique", conducted by Yevgeny Mravinsky, with the Leningrad Philharmonic. Lithe and muscular performances, with a precision and power that has to be heard to be believed. Great sound, about the best DGG ever achieved.
A rather scarce German "Alle Hersteller" (GY5) pressing. Play-graded with a Grado 1042 cartridge--Music Hall MMF-5 TT. The thick disc looks splendid and glossy, and plays the same way, NM. Extremely quiet and dynamic.
The floppy sleeve is sharp-edged, crisp and bright--looks near-new--so NM. Dated 3/63, with "Stereo" highlighted in red.
New Acoustic Sounds inner sleeve added to the original, and mylar outer sleeve.
