Description

Igor Markevitch conducts the Orchestre de Concerts Lamoureux in this landmark recording of the Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique from DGG's Fall 1961 roster of releases.  This is German DGG SLPM 138712, tulips with "Alle Hersteller" GY5 issue.  Thick pancake pressing.  I believe this to be the earliest issue of this recording.

This one plays beautifully, with clear, vivid stereo sound, very quiet vinyl.  In appearance, looks glossy and flawless.  A NM, without a doubt.  Play-graded with a Goldring 1042 cartridge--Music Hall MMF-5 TT. 

Red stereo.  DGG jacket is crisp and bright, so NM.  Dated 8/61.

A pristine collector's copy.  You won't find better.
