DIANA ROSS Y LAS SUPREMAS

(Diana Ross And The Supremes)

“GRANDES EXITOS”

(Greatest Hits)

MEGARARE original Motown Records very first STEREO press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1976 by DISCOS BANGLAD (Banglad Records), catalog number LP TML-186, with hand etched matrix numbers LP-TML-186-A EB-C in Side A and LP-TML-186-B EB-C in Side B, with blue/silver Motown Records labels, with yellow “Banglad” and tricolor “Motown” logo. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “14-4-76” (April 14th of 1976). Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“GRANDES EXITOS” is a compilation album of Diana Ross And The Supremes only released in Chile and like in many other cases and usual in that period, we got an UNIQUE COVER!!! Flipback cover is made of two single pieces of thin cadboard with laminated front cover pasted on the flips of non-laminated back cover. As you can see the front cover is UNIQUE, it has a photo of Diana Ross and The Supremes, album title is written in Spanish only with a colored list of 7 songs. Back cover has another photo of Diana Ross and The Supremes with the tracklist written in Spanish only. In labels the album title and tracklist are written in Spanish only, with credits for songwriters. So, here you have a great chance to get this exclusive album by Diana Ross and The Supremes for the Chilean market with UNIQUE COVER and UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE!!! The tracklist is:

Side A

  1. Someday We’ll Be Together

  2. Love Child

  3. Stop! In The Name Of Love

  4. I Hear A Symphony

  5. The Happening

Side B

  1. My World Is Empty Without You

  2. I’m Gonna Make You Love Me

  3. Reflections

  4. A Hard Day’s Night

  5. You Send Me

It’s also interesting to notice that in Chile the name of the band is translated to Spanish, “Y LAS SUPREMES” (And The Supremes), which’s very unusual for Chilean market, here the names of the bands have always been kept in the original language. Yes, ANOTHER RARE FIND, another rarity from Chile!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, clean and clear, no rips, no tears, very light ring marks, only slightly evident in back cover, some wear in the edges and corners but not seam splits or creases, no writings, no bends, light creases. The record is in superb EX+ or NM- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only minimal scuffs hard to see which of course don’t affect play, no scratches or hairlines at all. Labels are in NM or NM+ condition both sides, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear. The sound is the best part because it’s really great, it’s in NM- or NM condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only some very light occasional crackles here and there, really hard to hear, which don’t distract at all from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end, most of songs play in absolute NM condition. Overall, a great record with a still nice look and amazing sound quality after 40 years. A MUST TO HAVE for all Diana Ross collectors!!! And remember the UNIQUE COVER and the UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE. You won’t find this album in other country!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
