1972 vinyl LP - Bronze Records - ILPS 9196

My journey to this exceptional LP started with John Mayall's Bare Wires, on which Heckstall-Smith and Jon Hiseman played, then on to Colosseum and then here, where Colosseum members such as Hiseman, Dave Greenslade and Chris Farlowe feature, along with other superlative musicians like Chris Spedding and Caleb Quaye - check out the full list on the back cover.

I have just played all these LPs again and I have to say that this one tops them all - in fact, I have just played The Pirate's Dream through four times on the spin - I had forgotten what a truly great track it is.  Complex rhythms, with beautiful changes in atmosphere, great playing, and some vocal pyrotechnics from Farlowe.  So for those who do not already know this great album, I can thoroughly recommend it.

Vinyl, sleeve and inner sleeve in excellent condition - indeed, the only blemish is the mark at the top of the back cover caused by the imprint of the vinyl - see image.
