"Music For Millions" radio show transcription disc produced by The United States Treasury Department. Two Complete 15 minute radio programs on this 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm disc. This disc was issued to radio stations for broadcast only and not available to the general public, very rare
These radio programs were produced to promote the sale of Victory Bonds in the period just after the end of World War Two. Disc is circa late 1945
"Music For Millions" radio program #9 starring Dinah Shore with Al Goodman & His Orchestra. Announcer is Harry Von Zell. Songs include "But I Did" vocal Dinah Shore, "Stella By Starlight", "As Long As I Live" vocal Dinah Shore. Program features the brand new song, being performed for the first time on the air, "Who's Helping Who" vocal Dinah Shore and written by Johnny Burke & Jimmy Van Heusen. 15 minutes
"Music For Millions" radio program #10 starring Dick Haymes with Gordon Jenkins & His Orchestra. Announcer is Bud East. Songs include "Till The End Of Time" vocal Dick Haymes, "When You're Smiling", "It Might As Well Be Spring" vocal Dick Haymes. Program features the brand new song, being performed for the first time on the air, "It's Victory Day" vocal Dick Haymes and written by Jack Scholl & M. K. Jerome. 15 minutes
Disc is in Excellent- Condition with Excellent sound, Beautiful Disc!
