10 SITUAZIONI - ITALIAN LIBRARY Lp by SESTETTO DINO PIANA e OSCAR VALDAMBRINI. Original Italian pressing on the GLOBE label (LP 1005), from 1973. Holy grail Italian jazz Library item. Easily the funkiest session led by the formidable Piana Valdambrini horn section. Very stylish use of instrumentation with themes that rival the best Santucci Scoppa recordings of the period. Lightly stoned and psychedelic or straight up funky jazz and modal lounge sounds. Cool jazz piano and groovy hammond by I Marc 4 jazzman, Antonello Vannucchi and wah wah or jazz guitar by Silvano Chimenti of Droga Library infamy. Every track is superb with several club tunes for DJs. Immaculate playing / top solos / funky breaks and beats. Desirable item with themes that will blow away any discerning jazz collector for sure. This is the session with the funky SIGMA POP / OMACA / the addictive '70s jazz of BRIOSO and beautiful modal rhythms of MISTERIOSO and ANGOSCIA but we have recorded several other themes for our soundclip too.
