Ronnie James Dio released his first album under the name Dio, in 1983, a little over FORTY years ago. He passed through Elf, Rainbow, and Black Sabbath, so by the early 80s, he was ready to lead his own band for the first time. 'Holy Diver' is not only a metal milestone, it's a metal masterpiece! Filled with hard rocking songs that are also melodic, it showcases RJD's awesome vocal style, as well as the fantastic guitar playing of Vivian Campbell (who joined Whitesnake in '87, then Def Leppard in '92, where's he still at to this very day)! Bass is by Jimmy Bain, and he brought the drummer from Sabbath with him (Vinnie Appice). Bain passed away in 2016. (RIP Jimmy. You were an incredible bass player and talented musician that played an important part of both Dio and Rainbow. You are missed!)

In 2011, the European company Back to Black released the first Dio album 'Holy Diver' on a thick and heavy 180 gram vinyl picture disc LP! It's the first version of this, as a recent Record Store Day release has come out a few years ago. This was issued in a clear PVC jacket, with hype stickers. Copies were sealed with a round seal. This copy is STILL SEALED and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! The seal has never been broken. Bought new, and never played. Brand new Dio, and the European Back to Black version. 80s metal never sounded so good!

And OF COURSE you get a cool bonus! I'll add a beautiful color copy of the cover of the second album, 'Last in Line', originally released in 1984, FORTY years ago this year! This is similar to a poster flat, but slightly smaller. With a white border all around it, and on shiny and thick paper. And looking great! Murray rising above it all, and breaking those chains...in absolutely perfect condition, with no rips or tears, and no holes, folds, or handwriting anywhere on it. Would look great in a frame! This second Dio album lineup is the same as the first, with the addition of keyboardist Claude Schnell. Two awesome metal releases from one of the great metal bands, Dio!
