Very nice mod style 7 inch from Hull band The Diplomats. I'm pretty sure The Diplomats were formerly The London Boys (or at least some members were) who featured on the "Mrs. Wilson's Children" compilation album the year before with the excellent "Bleeding In My Heart".
The single was independently released, presumably by the band themselves (EX 1 was certainly Exchange Records' only release) and was recorded at Fairview Studios in Willerby, just outside Hull (where the great Basil Kirchin recorded "Silicon Chip" and other tracks). The double A-sided single comes in a partial gatefold sleeve with the inner white record sleeve glued in (a neat design).
Sleeve condition VG. Even though it's very tidy, intact and unfaded, there is some wear to the top edge of the back of the sleeve and some small pen marks on the back have been (very neatly) covered with two small white stickers (see photos).
Record condition EX. The runout shows this is a "Porky prime cut" (how busy was that guy?) and it is indeed a nice pressing with a good strong bass sound. There's some light surface at start and end of sides, par for the course, but it plays really cleanly with minimal noise and no pops etc.
This 1982 single is extremely rare. I've been searching high and low and can't find a single copy of this for sale anywhere. Listing with NO RESERVE. My auctions always run to the end so sorry but no offers thank you.

PLEASE NOTE: I do not "sight-test" records and list with comments like "vinyl looks to be in good condition". This is because a disc can look perfect but still have surface noise throughout (as I've found on too many occasions). All my records are played from start to finish on a fairly unforgiving Sansui deck fitted with an Ortofon cartridge and stylus.
