Description

3 LPs, box, and cue sheet in used condition. The records themselves look great -- see pics. They haven't been played since broadcast. The box has sustained a little water damage on the bottom -- again, see the photos. There is a sticker affixed to the top left corner of the box corner reading "DIRE". The cue sheet has a staple, a couple of minor folds at the corners, and some handwriting, but is otherwise in great shape.

You are bidding on a rare 3 LP set from Westwood One Radio Networks -- the Superstar Concert Series with Dire Straits, show SS86-25 slated for broadcast the weekend of November 29, 1986. Most of these tracks were recorded at Wembley Arena in London during the Brothers In Arms tour, except for "Solid Rock", "Expresso Love", and "Romeo And Juliet", which came from The Hammersmith Odeon in July 1983. The show is hosted by Charlie Kendall. This concert contains the following songs (in set list order):

  • So Far Away
  • Solid Rock
  • Money For Nothing
  • Expresso Love
  • Romeo & Juliet
  • Private Investigations
  • Walk Of Life
  • Why Worry
  • Sultans of Swing
  • The Man's Too Strong
  • Brothers In Arms
Also included are the band's song intros from the stage, national ads for Coke, Sprite, and Levi's, plus a promo for the show (the final cut on side 6.) The cue sheet lists out the cuts, the segment times, and the incues and outcues.

Per discogs.com, this show featured the following musicians:
