Great copy of Dire Straits 1978 debut, and this copy is a UK Import, probably a first pressing, unsure only because the copies of other declared 1st press don't have the darker blue on the bottom half of the Roger Dean artworks' bottom half. What a classic record from a band that put out better and better albums up until their last, "On Every Street". This opens the first side with "Down To The Waterline" and "Water Of Life", opens side two with the eternal "Sultans Of Swing" and "In The Gallery" and closes with the fine "Lions". DS was a bit of an underground album until they busted out with the smash "Brothers In Arms". Mark Knopfler and his guitar are regularly on tour still. The cover of this copy is in an easy VG+ condition, pressed on the typical of the day light cardstock, but has NO bending, only a couple of small wrinkles along the spine, which is very legible. There is a price tag on the front that is slightly pulling away from the cover likely taking some of it with it if it were to be completely removed. There are also a few very light marks on the bottom of the , as well as just the smallest amount of ring marking seen only on the front bottom and top, so PLEASE see photos. This is still very solid, with NO splitting. Thnyl is surprisingly clean with only a little sign of play, and as I am listening to it now, it sounds fantastic. The vinyl is also wrapped in the original lyric sleeve, also in great shape with NO splitting. Great very early copy of Dire Straits fantastic first LP.    We've been selling on eBay for awhile now, having stopped for a slew of surgeries and now retired from employment because of it. WE MAIL UNTO OTHERS AS WE WOULD HAVE THEM MAIL TO US! This will be by Media Mail, which is a bit slower but allows us to ship all US vinyl purchases FREE! We use official LP mailers with the record outside the cover, and in clean white sleeves separately from any photo inner sleeves. All vinyl is cleaned with an enzyme spray then finished with a SpinClean Machine. With sealed vinyl, please understand that we will only accept returns if the LP is still sealed, which is for our financial protection as well as yours.
