COBRA SOUND / IL GRANDE TENTATORE ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by ORCHESTRA JOE 'SPITFIRE' NICOSIA & C. Original Italian pressing on COBRA label (SPD 672), from 1975. Killer product placement / novelty / advertising / fashion show soundtrack / TV / radio theme created for the Italian denim jeans company, Cobra. Mood music played by an obscure Italian prog group with orchestra. Punishing B-boy drum breaks / funky hip hop beats and phased studio FX throughout the brilliant COBRA SOUND. A few blaxploitation collectors might recognise the main rhythm hook as it is based on a certain theme tune from a cult '70s pimp / black gangster movie. Booming dub disco production with heavy bassline / Hypnotic Brass Ensemble style horn section / swirling psychedelic strings / balearic guitar loops / analog keyboards and sleazy vocal shouts too. Lots of loops and samples. Comped on Charles Bal's Beachfreaks Don't Like Secrets Part 1 - 70s Hippie Dance and LSDisco selection. IL GRANDE TENTATORE is a crazed example of Italian glam / rock 'n' roll excess with baroque strings and harpsichord intro into phased funky drums and pop rock rhythms of the period. Rare OST 45!!!   

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is closer to M- condition overall with some light hairlines from sleeve removal. A couple of mini pressing marks. The picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light ring dirt marks and creasing from storage. Some light wear to corners and edges. Rare OST 45!!!
