COBRA SOUND / IL GRANDE TENTATORE ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST single by ORCHESTRA JOE SPITFIRE NICOSIA & Co. Original Italian pressing on COBRA label (SPD 672), from 1975. Killer product placement / novelty / advertising / fashion show soundtrack / TV / radio theme created for the Italian denim jeans company, Cobra. Mood music played by an obscure Italian prog group with orchestra. Punishing B-boy drum breaks / funky hip hop beats and phased studio FX on the brilliant COBRA SOUND theme. Blaxploitation collectors might recognise the main rhythm hook as it is based on a certain theme tune from a cult '70s pimp / gangster movie. Booming dub disco production with heavy bassline / Hypnotic Brass Ensemble style horn section / swirling psychedelic disco strings / balearic guitar loops / bugged-out synthesizers and sleazy vocal shouts too. Lots of loops / samples and comped on Charles Bal's Beachfreaks Don't Like Secrets Part 1. IL GRANDE TENTATORE side is a crazed example of Italian glam / rock 'n' roll excess with baroque strings and harpsichord lounge intro into phased vocals and funky drums / mad guitar solos and pop rock rhythms of the period. Cool sleeve design artwork. Rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny strong VG++ condition with some hairlines. Some light surface noises. Booming production sound. The laminated soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some light corner and edge wear (mostly to open side). Ring creasing and some light ring dirt marks from storage. Rare OST 45!!!
