Description
For sale is the DIZZY GILLESPIE Big Band "In Concert," on Gene Norman Presents, GNP-23, Mono, DG, 1957. This is the original press of the 1957 reissue of a 1954 10" record, including additional material. With Ernie Henry, James Moody, others.
SOUND: EX It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is terrific! Side A near perfect, would be NM on its own. Very minor light crackle audible at times on side B. No big tics or pops. Overall a very nice listen!
VINYL: EX A few light marks, more on side B, but all are minor, not feel-able. Overall very nice condition. Deep-grooved original baby-blue GNP labels are clean, with faint spindle-marks.
JACKET: EX Solid all-around, with a little routine wear near the corners. Front and back covers are clean and bright, with a "promo" stamp and a few pencil marks on the back.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. When play-tested, I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
