Double-vinyl original pressing from 1998. DJ Premier with tracks by Premier/Primo, Jeru, Gang Starr, Biggie, Nas, Showbiz & AG, Lord Finesse, Fat Joe, Rakim, Group Home and KRS-One.
I don't think there is a more important figure in real hip hop of the 1990's than DJ Premier. Back when you had to buy a record to hear its songs, the only sign that an album or single was sure to be a banger was a DJ Premier production credit. Everything else was a roll of the dice. And - my god - Premier is prolific. He is credited on half the records in my collection. I honestly do think that music historians will come to think of the mid-late 1990's as the age of Premier, when lots of other tracks - including many that were hugely popular back then - won't stand the test of time.
Records are hardly played, and come in generic sleeve with hype sticker containing track list. Sleeve features sweet Beat Street Records price sticker from back in the 1990's. See images of vinyl for reference.
I'm selling off my record collection (nearly all 1990's hip hop) to pay my kid's college tuition. All of my records have been stored upright, and not played in twenty years, so have minimal wear and tear.
