DNA 12” EP A Taste Of DNA 1981 Arto Lindsay No New York No Wave Rough Trade

Description

Here for sale is a Rough Trade copy of DNA’s visceral 12” E.P. released in 1981. One owner from new, the record was purchased at London’s Rough Trade shop by singer/author Julian Cope, who promptly placed it in a thick clear polythene cover for safe keeping. The full colour jacket remains, therefore, in exceptional condition. Somewhat perversely, however, the song titles and EP sides are mixed up and "labels reversed" was handwritten on the labels at the time of purchase (it appears to be a one-off or small-run Rough Trade peculiarity).

Both sides of the record have just been played through and – except for some slight surface noise (and one click) between a couple of tracks, the songs themselves were all clean unless detailed below.

Side One:        1) New Fast

                        2) 5.30                                   One pop midway through

                        3) Blonde Red Head             several minor crackles

Side Two:       1) 32123

                        2) New New

                        3) Lying On the Sofa of Life

PLEASE NOTE:

All purchases come with a bespoke 6” x 4” Certificate of Authenticity signed by Julian Cope.
