Description
Available here is an original 12” vinyl record by Doggerl Bank - Silver Faces. A 1st pressing, it was issued in the UK by Charisma in 1973 and has the catalogue number CAS 1079.
Rather rare and collectible, especially in this signed condition, the record bears the following marks in accordance with the Discogs catalogue -
Matrix / Runout - Side 1 - Stamped - CAS 1079 A-1U
Matrix / Runout - Side 2 - Stamped - CAS 1079 B-1U
Signatures - On the plus side, the front cover of the record has been signed by William Bealby-Wright (voice/vocals, lyrics, poet and conceptual artist) Jim Parker (music composer and various keyboards/instruments) and Susan Baker (strings various). Perhaps due to the passage of time the signatures are not overly clear but they’re there in biro towards the top right corner. I can add nothing further about their origin but have no reason to doubt their authenticity.
Vinyl Condition - Very Good+ - The record is bright and clean with one or two minor surface marks but no worrying scratches. Having listened to the record I can confirm that there is no jumping, sticking or loud clicks. Periodic background crackle present but not overly intrusive. I’ve only given the record a cursory clean but suspect that a little more work will improve the quality somewhat.
Sleeve Condition - Excellent - Original gatefold cover with the lightest signs of corner rubbing but no damage or creasing. Plain white inner is probably as issued and a little discoloured.

Packaging - It is not my intention to profit from postage. Where possible I use good clean recyclable material but I also buy bubble wrap, brown paper, packing tape and glue and all items are well wrapped and protected before posting. Items are also weighed and postage calculated before I list at auction and a small percentage of the charge does go towards packing costs.
