DON BYAS Saxophone Moods 10" Dial LP Nice

Original 1950s 10" Jazz LP of Don Byas entitled, "Saxophone Moods."  This is on the Dial label #216.  The vinyl is a very clean VG++ with full gloss and it plays quite nicely!! The cover is a sharp VG++ and looks great also, with no splits, no creases, no writing, no stains, etc. There is a only a small number written neatly in pencil in the upper right corner of the front and the tiniest hint of shelf wear on the back only.  In addition to Don Byas on saxophone, the players on this LP are Tyree Glenn (trombone), Billy Taylor (piano), J.J. Tilche (guitar), Julie Boucherty (bass), and Buford Oliver (drums).  Songs on this LP are: "Laura"; "Humoresque"; "Place Pigalle"; "Casbah"; "Foolish Things"; "Blues For Hughes"; "Ballad For Bunny Berigan"; and "Surrender."

Note:  I play these older, heavier LPs with a regular Stanton stylus tracked at 1.5 grams. I do this for two reasons:  First, they sound better. Secondly, if I use too fine a stylus, I find it produces a lot more surface noise.  These heavier LPs were really meant to be played with a regular stylus anyway. Depending on the setup you use, you may get slightly lesser--or slightly better--results than me.
