Description
Up for sale in this auction is a rare original pressing of Don Cherry's classic "Organic Music Society" LP released in 1972 on Caprice Records in Sweden as CAP 2001. This is a great rare Jazz LP in fantastic shape and comes with all the original inserts! Both LPs are in VG to VG+ shape with only minor signs of use and wear present. Only some extremely faint noise present during quiet portions and some light noise present during the first few rotations of the record. I have rated this between VG and VG+ because of this to be extra conservative. Visually the record is fresh and glossy and looks to be in VG++ shape with only superficial and faint signs of use present. Center labels are clean. They have a white sticker affixed denoting the catalog number and record label which I believe was put there by the record label in 1972. The gatefold jacket is in similar VG to VG+ shape with only some extremely minor wear present around the edges with some light ringing and minor creasing present as well. Much closer to VG+ but must be noted for completeness. This is a fantastic copy of an ultra rare out-there jazz record! Inserts are in VG+ shape conservatively!

- M Mint - Perfect in all ways.
- M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
- NM- Near Mint Minus - Extremely well cared for record. Probably a record that's been around for some years but extremely well looked after, but still not quite new enough to call Mint.
- VG++ Very Good Plus - As close to NM as it comes.
- VG+ Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
- VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
- VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
- G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
