Description

Don Malena and the Dry Ice:Sexercise/Land Of Summertime (Mal---Don/196?)
Super rare (count the number of known copies on your fingers with some left over) and somewhat eclectic 45 from Southern California. Land was a highlight of the Fistfull of Fuzz compilation. This is a three and a half minute excursion of psychedelic delight, featuring smooth west coast vocals with heavy fuzz from beginning to end, 2 fuzz solos and a monsterous fuzz-wah windup. Just one of the best ever!
Sexercise is a rather silly yet charming west coast blooz ditty suggesting a fun way to lose weight. Can't understand why it wasn't a hit.
Land looks VG (fair amount of scuffing, nothing too heavy or breaking the surface), plays Ex (4 light clicks scattered through 1st half of song). Sex looks VG- (heavier scuffing, but no scratches; couple of tiny chips in trail-in, but not anywhwere near the music), plays same (crackling throughout, several loud pops). Some ringwear on B-side label (see scan). This may sound a bit rough, but this is overall a good and less costly collection copy.

I also have a spare Mint minus copy, but that would be much costlier than this copy. If anyone is interested, please email me, and I'll put it up here as a special Buy-it-now auction.
