Donald Percy 'Don' Rendell (4 March 1926 - 20 October 2015) was an English jazz musician and arranger, specialising on tenor saxophone, but also playing soprano saxophone, flute, and clarinet. His style owes much to Lester Young, and he has added many other influences along the way, including especially that of John Coltrane, but almost from the beginning he had a distinctive style of his own.
Ian Carr (21 April 1933 - 25 February 2009) was a Scottish jazz musician, composer, writer, and educator. He performed and recorded with the Rendell/Carr Quintet and jazz-rock band Nucleus, and was an associate professor at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. He also wrote biographies of musicians Keith Jarrett and Miles Davis.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few small marks and plays with eight clicks near the start of the side but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few small marks and plays with the very odd bit of light crackle/two pops during track one but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (front laminated): very good (a few small laminate creases mainly near the edges, corner bash bottom right, light aging/discolouring on back).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.
Any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler. Payment strictly by PayPal only. Postal discounts available for multiple purchases - Please email for details.  526 (GS 6.6.6 (526))
