Description
Donald Byrd is joined on this recording by Wayne Shorter on tenor sax, Herbie Hancock on the piano, and Butch Warren and Billy Higgins, respectively on bass and drums.
Recorded in 1961, but not released until 1966, mono first pressings of BLP-4118 bear no ear or Plastylite "P". in the runout.
Both the vinyl and the jacket are in VG++ condition, just shy of near-mint.
The upper and lower left jacket corners have slight bumps and the front cover would seem to show light yellowing from light exposure, but only in comparison to the stark white back label. (I'm not sure the cover is supposed to be as white as the back label to begin with. There is no seam or spine wear.
The vinyl has no discernible defects, except for minimal storage wear visible only in direct, bright light. the labels have only slight spindle marks. Were it not for these, I would grade both vinyl and jacket near-mint. They are truly of collectible quality, and will be handled and shipped accordingly.
