Condition : Disc = VERY GOOD+ / Sleeve = VERY GOOD+
A Very Good+ condition disc. Some fine hairline marks, where the record has been taken out of the sleeve over the years - most of which can only been seen under a strong light. None of which cause any significant sound issues. Some spindle marks. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, deep scratches, scuffs, or writing on labels. Excellent sound quality in general, with some occasional very minor surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve with laminated front and flipbacks in Very Good+ condition. "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd." One small 3cm seam split at the centre of the top edge. No other seam splits. Some minor general wear. One crease to top right corner of front of sleeve. Hardly any wear or damage to spine, and all text is clearly legible. A very presentable sleeve.
Plain white inner sleeve, with polythene inner, in Very Good condition. with some age-related discolouration, but no splits.
GRADING:
All records are graded using the UK ‘Record Collector’ format:
MINT (M):
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
