ARGUABLY MY favourite Doobie Brothers album as it successfully marries their hard rock pretentions with southern rock asperations. The bruising hard rock anthems 'China Grove' and 'Evil Woman' position the band as serious contenders but its the less frantic material that really hits home. 'Dark Eyed Cajun Woman' and 'Long Train Runnin' showcase a depth to their repertoire that bellies the outward outlaw image. The latter track was of course a major hit single.
Highly recommended and a super nice copy.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. Displays spindle marks on labels but no other signs of use. Grades as Ex+
Cover: Only light signs of use. Housed in a fabulous gate fold cover. Sharp corner, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, stiff and uncrushed. Displays just a hint of handling. Grades as Ex+
