I cannot guarantee that discs will be click and skip free, although any marks and scratches that might possibly cause such problems will be highlighted clearly in the description.

Mega Rare US 'Promotion Preview Copy' White Label Press!

This listing is for a very rare and highly collectable copy of the Doors US LP 'Waiting for the Sun' on the Elektra label.

This particular copy is the extremely hard to find 'promotion preview copy' demo pressing on the white Elektra label. Only a tiny, tiny handful of demo copies were ever produced and were sent out before the album's release to various radio stations and record stores to promote the record before its release date. As most copies were either given away, thrown away or returned, not many copies have survived. Here's your chance to pick up a copy!

Title Waiting for the Sun Year of Release 1968 Catalogue Number EKS-74024 Label White 'Promotional Preview Copy' Elektra Tax Code on Disc - Sleeve Manufacturer - Side 1 Matrix Number EKS 74024A-SON Side 2 Matrix Number EKS 74024B-SON Side 1 Stampers - Side 2 Stampers - Cover Condition The cover is in G+ condition. It's holding up okay but is showing some wear and tear. The front is a little worn and there's a small stain on the left between the D and O of DOORS. There's a little rubbing around the edges and some light rounding of the corners. Top seam is a little worn but holding okay. Bottom sema is worn in the middle but doesn't look to have split yet. Spine is worn with a small split forming in the middle. Back has some wear, mostly around the edges. The top has worn and paled a little and there's some small writing in pen and you can see in the photo below. Inner gatefold is clean but is showing some age and wear. Overall, holding okay but is showing its age. Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeve is in FAIR condition. Lays pretty flat and looks clean with some folding in one of the corners. However, the seams are pretty torn. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition
(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in G+/VG- condition. The disc has a nice shine to it and there's a fair amount of light scuffs and marks all over, including quite a few slightly heavier looking marks. Label Condition The labels are in VG+/EX- condition. The labels are clean with no writing, tears, stickers etc. There's just a little rubbing in some of the black area of the Elektra logo and a fair amount of light spindlewear that you have to angle the label to be able to really see. All in all, looking decent!

All records have been visually graded under a strong, 125W natural light desk lamp.
