THIS IS BY FAR – BY LEAPS AND BOUNDS, THE RAREST AMERICAN PRESSING OF ANY DOORS ALBUM – SO RARE, IN FACT, THAT MOST COLLECTORS DO NOT EVEN REALIZE IT EXISTS, AND THOSE WHO DO USUALLY LIVE AND DIE WITHOUT EVER ACTUALLY SEEING ONE. THE BIDDERS SHOULD NOTE THAT THE ALBUM CONTAINS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT MIXES (AND ON ONE SONG [“YES, THE RIVER KNOWS”] –EVEN A SLIGHTLY LONGER VERSION - DUE TO A LONGER FADE - THAN ON THE MORE COMMON, STEREO VERSION)

Waiting for the Sun is probably the most commercial and the best selling of all Doors' albums (with the possible exception of the first one), this great psych album works on many different levels: as a potent showcase of Jim Morrison's poetic prowess, as an exhibit of the band's musical proclivities, and, ultimately, as a great album by the great band at the very peak of their musical strength and popularity. There is hardly a bad or substandard track on this album, and we are certain that most of the Ebay visitors are already familiar with its contents.

     THIS IS A RESERVE AUCTION!

·                 CONDITION:COVER- Great condition, small faded name on cover as shown. almost NO ring wear, slight shelf wear

·                  VINYL- VG+ a few scuffs and a couple scratches. Please View pictures. scratch on side one, last song has a slight tick- overall plays great

The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

Mono pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more preferable to its stereo counterpart.
