On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by The Downliners Sect called 'The Sect' and is a 1964 MONO UK 1st pressing!!!! THIS WAS THE DOWNLINERS SECTS FIRST LP AND IS IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! 'VG' COPIES OCCASSIONALLY TURN UP - BUT TO FIND A MONO 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP IN THIS CONDITION IS TRULY ASTOUNDING!!!! THIS LP REALLY WAS A 'PARTY' RECORD IF EVER THERE WAS ONE - AND MOST GOT PLAYED VERY HEAVILY. BUT NOT THIS ONE!!!! THIS ONE HAS CLEARLY ALWAYS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER AND BARELY PLAYED AT ALL!!!! THIS IS THE VERY 1ST PRESSING WITH AN E.J. DAY FLIPBACK LAMINATED COVER, BLUE/BLACK 1ST PRESS COLUMBIA LABELS, AN EMITEX INNER SLEEVE AND 1N/1N MATRIX ENDINGS!!!! SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is an ORIGINAL Columbia UK Blue/Black 1st pressing from 1964 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 33SX 1658 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Columbia Label (see picture) and is a UK MONO 1st pressing!!!! All the tracks are pure quality Downliners Sect at their best!!!! Any fan of The Downliners Sect, or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!
The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and barely ANY spindle marks AT ALL!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HAS ONLY BEEN PLAYED 2 OR 3 TIMES AT THE VERY MOST!!!! The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines and only a few of the lightest wispy paper scuffs only visible under bright light!!!! ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS A 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO sticking, NO jumps, NO hiss, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion!!!! The sound this record makes is simply AWESOME!!!! From start to finish there is ZERO distortion - even on the innermost tracks!!!! SUPERB SOUND!!!! The record must grade Excellent (Minus) if not FULL Excellent and it is SO HARD to find this LP in this condition!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL Emitex inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press E.J.Day Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear (apart from a couple of TINY rubs on the bottom edge - virtually invisible), NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear, only a few light creases (cover is still flat looking), and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO wear and NO yellowing!!!! Even with the few creases this cover has a STUNNING rear cover and is VERY flat looking and must grade Excellent (Minus)!!!! THIS IS A MEGA RARE LP AND REALLY TOUGH TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS EXTREMELY RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
