Description
This is Dr. John's first full-length album recording. The album was composed (and arranged and produced) by Leonard Dauenhauar (James' real name), Cosimo Matassa and Malcolm Rebennack. Great early Rock 'n' Roll/R&B dance album by a small group (despite the "Orchestra" credit) featuring Mac and Leonard.
For it's age and origin, this promo album from a radio station is in really good condition.
The front cover is very nice, bright, shiny. The back cover is quite aged (ie, turning brown), but fully readable. There are a couple of station rubber stamps and the number "#1192" in small ballpoint at upper right. No seam splits, good spine.
The LP is a pink label promo and is VG+ on nice thick vinyl. There are a few surface marks and a bit of noise here and there, but no pops, no skips, no scratches. Plays good, sounds great!
A real solid copy of a real tough album.
