Description
Very rare original UK Vertigo swirl/spiral label LP from 1971, 'Three Parts To My Soul' by Dr. Z, 6360 048, 1Y//1, 2Y//1 matrix suffixes, a very FIRST PRESSING! Not mint, by any means, but plays through with no jumps or skips and difficult to find in any condition!!
The foldout sleeve has two long vertical creases and a small horizontal one to the right flap, 2 lighter creases to the left flap. General edge wear and light creasing to edges and corners; ringwear visible on the back and some rippling. The heart logo has been drawn on with red ink in two places (visible in picture 5). Generally very good structure and excellent colour, and overall sleeve grades Good to Good+. Original swirl inner dated 1070 is in fabulous condition, just a handwritten number top right - grades EX.
As mentioned, this copy is certainly not a mint one, a slight edge to mid-warp, not major, but obvious, with visible lines and marks on both surfaces, including what looks like a small section of slight heat damage at the edge and about a third of the way into track 1 on each side, but there are no 'feelers' (feelable marks), and the worst looking marks are what look like several 'pitting' marks on side B, track 3, but these do play through, although with some significant clicks and pops. The rest of the vinyl is as follows: At the start of each side there is a 'whooshing' sound on each rotation as the stylus covers the section of heat damage, but this dissipates after about 2 minutes; there is consistent but light surface crackle with regular clicks, but audio is still strong, and it's very good to hear the original mix of this classic prog LP on its original format! The overall grade for the vinyl is Good.
